NightRay Wireless remote control spotlight is specifically designed for the utility industry and built to last decades in the most extreme weather environments.
NightRay Wireless comes with K&H’s exclusive Buffalo Blizzard Tuff

weather protection resists the elements.
The NightRay spotlights have been well-regarded by the utility industry and lineman crews around the world for its durability in all weather conditions, including snow, sleet and rain. “We wanted to tell the world about the toughness of the NightRay Spotlight.” Explained John Herc, vice president of sales and marketing for K&H Industries. “Being from Buffalo, you get use to people asking you how deep the snow is, and all kinds of weather-related questions. Buffalo Blizzard Tuff extreme weather protection seemed like a natural fit to describe how durable our spotlights are.”
To ensure the spotlight held up to the name, K&H conducted field testing on the NightRay Wireless. “Not only did we field test it outside of our manufacturing facility. We sent the units to several K&H customers, including
ATCO Electric in Alberta, Canada.”
“We’ve used K&H’s NightRay spotlights on our utility trucks for several years. Our utility crews like the durability and versatility of the spotlights. We began testing the new Wireless NightRay spotlight in October ’08, which is the start of our winter in the Province of Alberta.” commented Brad Hemstreet, Fleet Superintendent of ATCO Electric.
“We put several of the units on our trucks across the province; our temperatures range from 100 degrees F to minus 40 degrees F. The weather here is unforgiving. Our equipment, especially anything mounted on the exterior of the vehicle is treated harshly by the environments. When we tested the K&H NightRay Wireless, the spotlight held up to our harsh weather in Alberta.

As evidence of ATCO’s satisfaction with the NightRay Wireless, they have since purchased 10 NightRay Wireless remote control spotlights, and an additional 12 NightRay Wireless Retrofit Kits that are used to convert existing NightRay hard-wired units to wireless.
To ensure the NightRay Wireless is truly Buffalo Blizzard Tuff, K&H selected materials for their ability to provide long lasting durability in extreme environments. The light housing and base are completely enclosed in weather-tight Polycarbonate. Polycarbonate has very high and low temperature tolerances and is virtually unbreakable, yet extremely light weight and durable.
NightRay’s motor assemblies, shafts, brackets and other mechanical components are made from marine-quality materials. The limited slip-drive gears are made from self-lubricating Delrin®. Delrin® is a unique resin that is chemical and salt-water resistant, and maintains its lubricating properties in extreme weather conditions, ranging from -40° F to over 185°F. These materials are chosen for their ability to provide long lasting durability in extreme environments. The NightRay is an ideal solution for any nighttime lighting.
